Journal Urban Eidos

Journal Urban Eidos

Ideal Spaces Foundation is thrilled to unveil Urban Eidos, an innovative academic journal that challenges traditional publishing norms by offering open access and removing publication fees. This initiative bridges the interdisciplinary gaps between science, arts, and architecture, fostering a rich dialogue beyond conventional academic boundaries. By ensuring all contributions are freely available and assigning them Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs), the journal guarantees global visibility in academic libraries. The journal distinguishes itself further by embracing a broad spectrum of expressions, including non-textual art forms, enriching the academic discourse with diverse perspectives and creative insights.

The Ideal Spaces Foundation extends its heartfelt gratitude to Dr. des. Andreas Siess and Dr. phil. Ulrich Gehmann, who have assumed the roles of Editors-in-Chief. For more information about Urban Eidos and to explore its inaugural issue, please visit the journal’s website at https://urban-eidos.com/.

Our first edition will deal with the topic Architecture, Space, and Place as seen from different perspectives.  In this edition, now available online and as PDF from our website, we will also give an outline of the journal’s scope and intentions, together with information for interested authors/contributors.

For our second edition, Polis, Free Citizenship and Democracy, we want to invite scholars, artists and practitioners for contributions. Please have a look at https://urban-eidos.com/call-for-contributions/, and our submission guidelines https://urban-eidos.com/submission/
