Workshop The Perspective shifts

Ideal Spaces and Desiree Kabis have made the final organizational steps for the event to be held at the Ideal Spaces venue in Nesslerstr. 16, 76227 Karlsuhe/Germany. This will be the first event in a series of events titled Conversations, that will look into new concepts of art, architecture, and society.

New series Dialogues

This will be free-form conversations on specific topics, to be hosted by Ideal Spaces, and will include invited guests in open conversation. It will be an addition to our regular podcasts that will focus on dialogue and conversation. This new series will start in September 2025, as an intended bi-monthly presentation. Our audience will find these presentations on our website.

Symposium Identity and Place, Place and Belonging: A Workshop on Citizenship, Space, and Community

These important topics, in particular for today, are addressed in a two-day symposium to be held October 19 + 20, 20225, at the Ideal Spaces Foundation venue in Nesslerstr. 16, 76227 Karlsuhe/Germany. The symposium will be held in collaboration with Professor Jason Montgomery from the Catholic University of America, Washington D.C./USA. Jason will be the main moderator of that event. The symposium will be in person and online, it is an open forum concentrating on discussion. For a first impression of the topics to be dealt with in the symposium, have look at our website, Jason Montgomery’s podcast Ideal Spaces | The Need for Public Place, Jason Montgomery, and his presentations at the Housing symposium in Guimaraes/Portugal, Panels I and V, in our events-section, Ideal Spaces | Symposium on Housing, UNESCO CITY of Guimaraes/Portugal – 2025

Podcasts

The podcasts with Lia Macedo on youth today and with Willi Sutter from bogenständig about community today (on our German website) have been posted and offer interesting insights into our newly established lines of podcasts, Youth and Viable Communities. Further podcasts along these lines will follow.

Urban Eidos Journal

Our fifth issue on Artificial Natures will appear soon on our website, under https://urban-eidos.com/. The theme of artificial natures is of utmost importance today, because we live in environments which seem ‘natural’ to us and by that, became a kind of natural environment. But of course, they are not natural. Different aspects of these natures will be dealt with, amongst others, an amazing artistic work on how to create these natures based on traditional botanic artworks.
