Symposium on Housing, UNESCO City of Guimaraes/Portugal

That important and successful symposium was made from May 29-31, Ideal Spaces is in the midst of presenting the series of releases that are appearing on social media (on our Ideal Spaces Working Group in Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin), and on our German website, https://idealspaces.de/news/aktuelles-4/.

We released a podcast with Aviv Kruglanski, 3 Stages of Succession/Community Economies Institute, Hull/UK, about new community approaches; and with Lia Machado, a podcast about the prevalent mindsets of the younger generation today will appear soon. This podcast was the starting point of a series in our social media channels about the younger generation today…identity, collective consciousness, isolationism, and the effect of social media on their lifestyle, mindsets, and their involvement in community in the present and the future.

Upcoming podcasts are scheduled with Willi Sutter, CEO of bogenständig, a successful organization for housing projects for communities in Germany (to appear on our German website); and with Pedro Guimaraes, University of Lisbon, about housing and the city in recent socioeconomic conditions. With these two podcasts, we continue our ongoing conversations on housing, the city, community and planning for the future.

Tuesday: a visual impression on a topic relevant for our work at Ideal Spaces, on Facebook and Instagram
Wednesday: We will comment and direct to actual events made by ideal Spaces. Released June 25, we provide an overview of the Housing Symposium in Guimaraes. Later on, we will re-release events and exhibitions we produced in the past, related to our recent activities.
Thursday: our Younger Generation series
Friday: our series A Better Way of Life, addressing topics we see as relevant in art, architecture, community and citizenship.
