The ideas of “crystal” architecture and their implementation: projects by W. Hablik, F. L. Wright, B. Fuller and A.Neumann. Leonova, Yulia

The Department of Theory and History of Art of the Faculty of Art History of the Russian State University for the Humanities is holding an international scientific conference “Spiritual City. Fantasy and Fantasy in Architectural Creativity ”. 

Its motto is the words of Bruno Taut: “The greatest buildings have always come from the greatest thoughts.” The conference is devoted to the problem of the emergence of new architectural images and ideas that can either go into the realm of fantasy or be embodied in reality. It will feature 50 reports by famous and novice researchers, among the topics – the structure of medieval Hell, mystical temples in the “Hypnerotomachia of Polyphilus”, stations of the Art Nouveau era, the symbols of the Goetheanum, the imaginary architecture of Umberto Eco and Robert Heinlein.
